8.3 billion Plastic

As per the report from the Guardian 8.3 billion tons of plastic have already been used worldwide ever since 1950. It is said that the weight of the plastic would more be than 800,000 Eiffel Towers and the stunned part is only 9% of the plastic has been recycled till now.

Plastic is banned in some countries

There are numerous of the countries that have banned the plastic including Kenya, China, Rwanda, France and Italy. Kenya is considered one of the world’s toughest laws who is against plastic bags in 2017.

The countries are strictly against the use of plastic.

Every minute 1 million of bottles are being purchased

According to the Guardian report, around 1 million of plastic bottle are being purchased every single minute and it keeps on increasing with each day. According to the same report, around 480 million plastic bottles were bought in 2016 around the globe.

Less than half of the bottles purchased in 2016 were recycled.

Plastic is polluting our oceans and rivers

There are 10 rivers that are being most polluted by the usage of plastic and end up destroy the oceans and rivers of the world that includes Yangtze, Indus, Yellow, HaiHe, Ganges, Pearl, Amur and Mekong. River Nile and the Niger in the Africa have started getting dirty now.
