Everything You Need to Know About MCU Phase 4

Marvel after breaking many records with the Avengers: Endgame is set to move up to MCU Phase 4.

MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) has entertained the viewers worldwide with the most amazing superhero characters, the official trailer for the first movie of the phase 4 Spider-Man: Far from Home was released shortly after the Avengers: Endgame, starring Tom Holland. Phase 4 has already gained momentum and is packed with the announcement of many new characters and sequels coming in the near future.

Below is everything we know about the MCU phase 4.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Releasing (5 July 2019)

Spider-Man: Far From Home is the only Marvel Film officially announced post Avengers: Endgame.

In the trailer we can see Peter Parker mourning the loss of Tony Stark during the film. The film will introduce Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain “Mysterio”. The world is looking forward for a successor to Iron Man, let’s see if our neighborhood Spiderman steps-up or not.

Black Widow (ETA: 2020)

The Super-Spy Natasha Romanoff is finally getting her own solo movie. Considering the events of Endgame it will most likely be about the story of the kickass black widow of how she became the Russian spy. Under the direction of Cate Shortland, the filming began on May 28, 2019, in Norway and may last till September.

The Eternals (ETA: 2020)

The Eternals

The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations. By April 2018, Marvel had met with multiple screenwriters to craft a film based on comic The Eternals and have been asked to come up with a story that focuses on the female Eternal “Sersi”. Matthew and Ryan Firpo were hired to write the script for the project and the film is set to be directed by Chloe Zhao. The filming is expected to begin in late 2019. The film will star Angelina Jolie, Keanu Reeves, Richard Madden.

Shang-Chi (ETA: 2021)


The Master of Kung-Fu, Shang-Chi will be the studio’s first Asian protagonist movie. Destin Daniel Cretton has been hired to direct the film. The filming date and Cast is yet to be announced. According to the Comics Shang-Chi upon joining the avengers gains the power to create countless duplicates of himself. Let’s see how this Asian hero does in the MCU.

Black Panther 2(ETA: 2021)

It’s no surprise Black Panther’s sequel is on its way as the movie quickly became one the  Marvel’s most successful movie outgrossing Avengers: Infinity War in the United States. Ryan Coogler will be directing the sequel. The filming date is yet to be announced but it is expected to be released in 2021.

Doctor Strange 2(ETA:2021)

The Sorcerer will be back with more tricks and illusions. The sequel to the film Doctor Strange will star Benedict Cumberbatch with Scott Derrickson once again Directing the movie. Filming is expected to start in mid-2020.

Guardians of the galaxy Vol 3(ETA:2022)

The movie has met with many delays and with James Gunn again reinstated would return to write and direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Filming will begin once Gunn has completed work on the reboot of The Suicide Squad. Let’s see if Thor actually joins the Guardians of the Galaxy which is based on another comic namely “Asguardians of the Galaxy”.
